Cost Allocation Distribution Options (CADO)

Cost Allocation Distribution Options (CADO) enables you to define the accounting distribution data integrity options for each group/step. This window is an alternative window to Allocations Totals Inquiry (TOTL).

The first time a Pool/Base Definition Reference (PBDF) record is entered with a unique group/step combination, a new record is created for this window. This new record has the integrity options set to the default values entered on Allocation Group Control Reference (ALLC) for the specific group. You can change these flags for each group/step using this window. For more information on setting these options, see Allocation Group Control Reference (ALLC).

The options set on this window for a particular group/step override the options set on Allocation Group Control Reference (ALLC). These fields allow you to specify whether each accounting distribution element used in base record expansion is determined by the pool records or by the base records.

These options also determine whether or not the wild card option can be used on base records for each accounting distribution element field on Pool/Base Definition Reference (PBDF). For information on using the wild card option, see the User's Guide . Valid values for these fields are:

Default

This accounting distribution element defaults to the value on Allocation Group Control Reference (ALLC) for this group.

Pool [P]

This accounting distribution element is determined from pool records. If Pool [P] is selected, you can use the wild card option.

Base [B]

This accounting distribution element is determined by base records. If Base [B] is selected, you can only use the wild card option on pool records.

  • This option only has a bearing on base records when Base Type is Statistical [S] or Fixed Percentage [P] on Pool/Base Definition Reference (PBDA).
