At your request, this letter will provide information to you for your use in requesting certification as a Public Safety Answering Point under the terms set forth by KRS 65.7621 et seq., with regard to your ability to receive wireless E911 calls utilizing the wire-line E911 network.

ABC telephone Company certifies that you are currently receiving Enhanced 911 calls at the PSAP, which is located at:

This includes the delivery of ANI and ALI and employs / does not employ the use of a Selective Router (Tandem Switch) and uses direct trunking from some central offices in directing calls to the PSAP. The coverage area included in this E911 system include all or parts of the following wire centers:

Our records indicate that there are ### trunks at the PSAP which are equipped for wire-line E911 calls. You have ordered/not ordered additional trunks/trunk groups to accommodate wireless traffic. The E911 trunks originate at the Tandem switch (central office name) / central office (if no tandem switch is used) and terminate to the E911 Controller at the PSAP.

The Controller equipment in use at your PSAP is provided by ABC Company. The ABC 9-1-1 Controller is certified to meet the specifications for the retrieval of the necessary data elements for use in the Phase 1 delivery of wireless calls to the PSAP. That is, the location of the wireless cell tower/sector and the ten-digit call back number of the wireless caller will be delivered via the ALI screen.

A network schematic of the wire-line E911 network as it currently exists is attached. Please note that all diagrams and the information provided to you in this letter are considered to be Proprietary and should be safeguarded accordingly.
