Internet Treasure Hunt!

Background

One problem with the World Wide Web is that the resources are so vast, and the links so many. Trying to find the information you want, when you want it can be a real trick. This activity is designed to help you hone your skills at finding the information you need as quickly as possible

Objective

You will be given an obscure but "findable" bit of information to locate on the World Wide Web. The first team that finds the information wins! If there is a tie, the team that reached the site in the fewest links or "hops" will win.

Rules

   1. You must start from this page.
   2. You may use any search utility or resource your browser has to offer.
   3. Do not edit or change your history file.
   4. Do not use bulk magnetic erasors or hammers on opponents workstations.
   5. When you find the information, tell the Workshop coordinator immediatly
   6. Decisions of the Judges are final!

Teams will have 15 minutes to come up with the answers, but they would also have to tell how they got there. Those that successfully complete the hunt will win a prize. The top ten will be eligable for the web publishing session.
