The Road to Ust Donesk

An American school teacher gazes over the Don river vally for the first time on the road to Ust Donesk.


The Don River resides in the Russian Step Region. flat to gently rolling land in semi arid conditions supports a wide variety of agriculture and coal mining activites.

Our bus served well transporting the delegation plus large amounts of luggage to the hotel in Ust Donesk.

After unpacking the group walked to Ust Donesk School number 2 where the Headmaster Irina Shebunaeva welcomed us to the community

The school served as host to the conference, beginning with a dinner for visitors and local dignitaries. Svetlana Vishnevetskaya along with the Vice Principal of the school check on last minute details for the gathering.
